The purpose of this study is an economic and legal analysis of the state of training of students in the agricultural education system. The objectives of the study are to assess the formation of the foundations of ecological culture among students of a modern agricultural university. The scientific novelty lies in new approaches to environmental education of future specialists in the field of agricultural activities and environmental impact. Research methods: economic and legal analysis; assessment of environmental education; sociological analysis of the ecological worldview. The theoretical significance of this study lies in the addition of the Federal Law of 10.01.2002 «On Environmental Protection» with the doctrine of the formation of an ecological worldview. The practical significance of the research material is due to the possibility of using it in the educational process and scientific work of students in educational institutions.
