The article defines the concept of aquaculture from a dogmatic and legal point of view. The authors reveal the principles of legal regulation of relations in the field of aquaculture (fish farming). The importance of the development of fisheries from the economic point of view is emphasized, in connection with which the authors note the need to modernize the legal norms regulating relations in the field of aquaculture. The article concludes that the efficiency of fish farming is increased through research in the field of genetics, the creation of productive and relatively unpretentious hybrids to the environment from an economic point of view and the legal regulation of such relations.
