Inflation is a rise in prices, a decrease in purchasing power, a depreciation of money. With inflation, the level of prices for goods and services rises for a long time. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that inflation negatively affects the Russian economy, in the current unstable political situation, the main task is to ensure stable economic development through anti-inflationary policy. In Russia, prolonged inflation is the result of ineffective economic policies. A well-founded model of management of the transition economy, which stimulated stabilization, increased the volume of production of goods, should be the basis of anti-inflationary policy. An important and difficult to solve problem of the economy is inflation; in order to prevent growth, it is necessary to constantly analyze it, identify the factors and causes that affect it, and also consider the social and economic consequences that inflation has caused.
