The chubushnik (Philadelphus L.). The genus includes about 50 species, native mainly in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. Deciduous shrubs are multi-barreled, sprawling, densely leafy, with an egg-shaped crown. Flowers large, white or cream-colored petals, odorless or with a strong flavor, usually 5-7 pieces. It’s collected at the ends of lateral branches in racemose inflorescences, but often solitary. A life expectancy is 70 years.
