ESPECIALLY THE USE OF PLANTS WITH ORNAMENTAL LEAVES IN LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Annotation. In landscape design widely used single (solitary) planting different plants: woody vegetation (trees, shrubs) or large herbaceous plants, which allow to vary the garden area, well separated in landscape compositions draw attention to themselves. The solitary plant should have spectacular decorative qualities that would distinguish it from the background of a lawn, building or water mirror, where this plant can give a beautiful reflection in the water. Especially popular are herbaceous plants with ornamental foliage: Aconite klobucky, aruncus dioecious, astilba Arends, cultural, Dahlia, delphinium high, castor oil plant ordinary hybrid lupine, Oriental poppy, globe-Thistle ordinary etc. This group of plants has a high decorative: beautiful habit, large inflorescences, a wide range of colors, long flowering – all this allows them to refer to solitary plants. When using soliternyh plants in the design of the territory must be considered: the height, color and shape of the leaves, flowers and inflorescences, timing and duration of flowering, preservation of decorative throughout the growing season, the ratio of open space in which the plant will grow, and the size of the plant. Ideal look tapeworms on manicured lawns.
