Abstract. In this article, the authors consider the normative consolidation of the right to the environment in the normative acts of the Russian Federation. The authors study the importance of the right to the environment for everyone. The analysis of legislative acts guaranteeing the right to a favorable environment and establishing liability for violation of this right is carried out. The article concludes that the preservation of the right to a favorable environment depends not only on state measures, but also on the conscious behavior of everyone who is on the territory of the Russian Federation.
