Abstract. Efficient reproduction is paramount to success in livestock production. The implementation of the intended goal, whether it is the maintenance of a commercial herd, the conduct of selection and breeding work, or such complex projects as the creation of transgenic animals, is not possible without the development of modern technologies for intensive reproduction using the latest achievements of biological science. These technologies should be based on reliable scientific knowledge about the functional characteristics of the reproductive system [1]. This article examines the dependence of the quality of sperm obtained from brood goats on the age and cellular composition of the blood of the goats themselves.
